This Past Week

Thursday through Saturday, 11/17 through 11/19: This past Thursday through Saturday night, the Frosh play took place in the Lab Theater at South. It was a huge success, and each and every freshman displayed immense talent, giving upperclassmen hope for the future of South Stage. For those who don’t know, the frosh play annually consists of six-seven miniature, unique, and unconnected stories that usually involve around four actors each. Some are humorous,  while others serious and meaningful– but all are filled with awesomeness in their own way.

This Coming Week

Tuesday 11/22: During this Tuesday advisory, the much anticipated Passing Time will take place. During this event, all students are allowed to walk around the school to visit different musical groups instead of going to advisory. Everything from string quartets, to jazz solos, to a cappella groups, to an electronic teacher band will be stationed in various places around the school. Your job? Simply to walk around and enjoy the music. This is arguably one of the best traditions at South, as it allows our talented musicians to showcase their skills.

Wednesday 11/23: As per tradition, the half-day before Thanksgiving will feature the pep rally. The event will feature both artistic and athletic demonstrations– with a cappella and dance performances and a much anticipated tug-of-war match.
