This Past Week:

Friday 1/6: This past Friday night, the Winter Warmer took place at Gregorian Rugs in Newton Lower Falls. The event featured the Newtones, one of South’s talented a cappella groups, at their first ever winter concert, as well as several groups from other schools in the area. Everyone felt cozy and warm, smushed together on the rugs, listening to great music.

Sunday 1/8: This Sunday night, the 74th Golden Globes, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, aired at 8:00 PM. This event celebrates the best in American film and television of 2016. As predicted, La La Land took home many awards, winning a record of seven golden globes. Moonlight, however, took the trophy for best drama film.

This Coming Week:

Monday 1/9: SpeakEasy Boston is hosting the Massachusetts premier of Hand to God, a show about the events in a church after a hand puppet comes to life and claims to be Satan. The play was nominated for five Tony awards in 2015.
