When asked by a prodding reporter about hobbies, Hochuli simply answered “Fantasy Football.” What seemed like a humorous offhand response was, in fact, an act of modesty from a seven-season league champion. Layer by layer, the unnamed CBS Reporter unraveled Hochuli’s fantasy genius. Hochuli admits his success came as a result of a few key factors:
“Usually I look to the waiver wire and make careful, well-thought-out decisions” Hochuli grinned from ear to ear, “maybe it’s just luck, I don’t know.”
Wow!
It’s not every day that we get the opportunity to see someone who can succeed in two distinct fields, especially two as different as referee-ing and fantasy football, and it’s even rarer to see someone so modest about it!
Even Hochuli’s fellow fantasy football owners agree that in their league, despite his silence, ‘things always seem to fall in his direction’ – probably a direct result of his modesty!
What a great story we were fortunate enough to learn about. We should use Hochuli as an example and practice some modesty in our daily lives to become better people.
