As week 10 in the NFL approaches, NFL fantasy owners are happy to get back many key players from the bye week. With numerous teams coming off byes, many players are poised to overachieve this week, while others might be ready to run into a roadblock. With this in mind, here are the week 10 start ‘em sit ‘ems for the NFL.
START:
Zac Stacy, RB Rams: Once the Rams lost QB Sam Bradford, the team became reliant on Stacy. With this added pressure, Stacy went off last week, scoring 29 fantasy points, rushing for 127 and scoring two touchdowns. Facing the 28th-ranked Colts’ defense for opposing RB, expect Stacy to continue the dominance he showed these past two weeks.
Jake Locker, QB Tennessee: Considering how atrocious the Jaguars’ defense has been this season, any slightly above average quarterback is a must-start when playing Jacksonville. Furthermore, Locker is averaging 22 fantasy points when playing at home, a number the vast majority of fantasy owners would be perfectly fine with coming from their quarterback. Add in Locker’s ability to pick his spots in the running game, and it should be another big week for the quarterback who gets to face the Jags.
T.Y. Hilton, WR Indianapolis: Another player who is benefiting from the season-ending injury of a teammate, Hilton scored three touchdowns last week after Reggie Wayne was lost for the season. After proving his threat in the passing game last week, expect Andrew Luck to keep going back to T.Y. to gain yards through the air. Throw in the fact that he is playing the mediocre Rams defense, and T.Y. is a must start this week.
SIT:
Matt Ryan, QB Atlanta: Posting back to back single-digit games, Ryan is absolutely a sit this week. He has shown that without Julio Jones and Roddy White, it is very hard for him to be successful. Also, Ryan is playing Seattle this week, which boasts one of the league’s stingiest defenses. Unless there is really no one else to pick up or start at QB, Matt Ryan should be riding the bench this week.
Mike Wallace, WR Miami: Wallace hasn’t put up double-digit fantasy points since week five nor scored a touchdown since week two, and it’s week 10. And he faces one of the best corner-backs in the league in Darrelle Revis. Expect very little from Wallace this Sunday.
Jared Cook, TE St. Louis: Since his week one outburst of 141 yards and two touchdowns totaling 24 fantasy points, Cook has not reached double digit fantasy points once. Overall, he is averaging a little less than 4 points a week in terms of fantasy points. Put all of that on top of the fact that he is facing the Colts, who have allowed only one touchdown to opposing tight ends all season, and Cook is a must-sit this week.
