The girls’ track and field team placed fourth at the Dual County League meet in Weston last weekend, a result team members said was a satisfying way to conclude the league season.“We are very happy as a team because we feel like we’ve gotten through a lot together,” senior captain Kathleen Garrity said. “We have taken it step by step up to this point throughout the season.”
This team, full of committed athletes, has worked and trained together not only for this season but prior seasons as well, team members said.
“We are especially proud of our seniors for being such great leaders,” junior Rachel Hurwitz said. “They are role models for us not only on the track but off the track as well, and we are going to miss them so much next year.”
The team now prepares for states on Saturday, May 26.
