As the first few months of school are coming to an end, Tamar Brendzel is enjoying all the responsibilities she takes on in this new and exciting role.

Last year, as a student teacher, Brendzel had a wonderful experience shadowing Ms. Estrada and Ms. Reppert in the science department. As well as being a substitute chemistry teacher.

“I love the wonderful school community here, and I appreciate how motivated and caring the students are,” Brendzel said.

While it has been a smooth transition from because she has had experience at South, Brendzel adds that understanding the level of responsibility and truly being the one in charge has been the biggest adjustment.

“It is great to be able to watch the students work hard and learn exciting new things,” Brendzel said.

Brendzel teaches two sections of Global Biology for Juniors. In addition to Anatomy and Physiology classes for Seniors.

“I am especially excited for students to learn about important events that affect our daily lives and the world around us,” Brendzel said.

Overall, Brendzel is looking forward to teaching and she is very excited for a great year!
