Monday: “In the Arms of a Stranger (Brian Kierulf Remix)“- Mike Posner
This Monday will be pretty warm, but it will also be cloudy, a combination that goes perfectly with some new Mike Posner music. Like “I Took a Pill in Ibiza”, “In the Arms of a Stranger” is another remix from Posner’s latest album At Night, Alone. While the original version of this song is still good, the remix is more upbeat, which makes it the perfect song for a nice hot day.
Wednesday: “Famous ft. Rihanna“- Kanye West
Wednesday is going to be a very hot day, coming in at at least 80 degrees. Straight from Kanye’s new album, The Life of Pablo, “Famous” is by far one of the hottest tracks. Not just because of the quality rapping, but also because Rihanna’s heavenly voice is showcased, and any song with Rihanna in it is a good one. So if you have not yet, check out the song that is guaranteed to make your Wednesday better.
Throwback Thursday: “Hips Don’t Lie ft. Wyclef Jean“- Shakira
On this warm Throwback Thursday, you should add Shakira’s hit from 2005, “Hips Don’t Lie”, to your latest playlist. With a combination of both Shakira and Wyclef Jean’s distinct voices, this track was easily one of the best of the early 2000s. Of course everyone remember this song’s fame back then, but when is the last time you actually listened to it? If you don’t remember, you should probably get on that, perhaps starting this Thursday.
Friday: “Say It ft. Tove Lo“- Flume
Friday is going to be another fairly warm day, but this time there is a chance of thunderstorms. That’s okay, though, because I have just the song to get you through it. “Say It” is by the same artist who produced the song “Never Be Like You”, both of which appear on the same album. The sick beats on this track along with Tove Lo’s amazing voice, heard in songs like “Habits” and “Close”, are just some of the things that make this song so enjoyable and a great pick for one of the last Friday’s of the school year. 10/10, would recommend.
