Monday: “Not Today“- Imagine Dragons
To start off the week, this Monday will be another rain-filled day. Everyone knows the best thing to listen to on a rainy day is some quiet, slow songs, which is why Imagine Dragon’s newest hit is today’s song of choice. From the same voices that brought us “Demons” and “Radioactive”, “Not Today” is Imagine Dragon’s newest single. It is also from the Me Before You soundtrack, and let me just tell you now, it is such an amazing song. So on this rainy Monday, do yourself a favor and listen to this.
Wednesday: “Blue Ocean Floor“- Justin Timberlake
There is going to be more rain on Wednesday! To go with the gloomy vibes of rainy days, today’s song is a soft and slow staple from Justin Timberlake’s album, The 20/20 Experience. This is the same album that gave us well-known songs like “Mirrors” and “Suit & Tie”, but “Blue Ocean Floor” is one of the less popular tracks. The approximately seven minute song consists of calming beats and of course Justin’s heavenly voice– perfect for a good rainy day.
Throwback Thursday: “Numb/ Encore“- Jay Z & Linkin Park

This Throwback Thursday will be the only sunny day of the week, which is a great time to play some old Jay-Z jams. “Numb/ Encore” is a mashup from 2004 of Jay-Z’s song “Encore” and Linkin Park’s song “Numb”, both of which came out in 2003. With the perfect combination of rock and rap, this song is definitely one of the best mashups of the 2000s, and it deserves a listen.
Friday: “Light it up (Remix)” ft. Nyla and Fuse ODG- Major Lazer
Can you guess what is going to happen on Friday? You guessed it– it is going to rain again! But since Friday is the last day of the school week, today’s song is not another slow song. In fact, this is a very upbeat and hyped-up song. In this remixed track, Major Lazer, the group who produced songs like “Lean On” and “Be Together”, adds some amazing rhythms to an already amazing song. Let this fiery song be the beginning to an epic weekend.
