“I think it might have been when I was around eight, which was when I first started writing songs and I was like, ‘I want to do this forever.’ My mom took us to church every Sunday and I was kind of an angel child at times because I was really into God at one point, so my first song was about Jesus. Now I’m agnostic, but my mom was really happy that my first song was about Jesus.”
