Test-optional colleges are becoming increasingly common with the COVID-19 pandemic on the rise. For many students, this news is a huge sigh of relief. Most colleges will accept essays, portfolios, and other academic reports in place of standardized test scores. 

For students who think submitting a test score will benefit them, the option of submission is still widely available. However, despite their rarity, there are some schools that are completely test-blind, meaning that they will not even take test scores into consideration. The question of whether or not colleges will remain test-optional or blind after the pandemic remains unanswered.
