As Denebola continues to look at what it means to have a twin at South, juniors Jack and Emme Blessington agreed to sit down with Denebola and talk about their different academic strengths.

What is your favorite thing about being a twin?

Jack: “I like that we have such similar friends, and that we can always talk together about school because we’re going through the same things, so it’s really convenient having a twin.”

Emme: “Yeah, having someone the same age as you and just going through the same things in school as well as sharing the same friends.”

Is there anything bad about being a twin?

Emme: “Well, we’re different when it comes to school, like level wise, so it’s hard to be compared. That can be kind of difficult.”

Jack: “It also stinks that we share the same birthday, so we don’t get our own day to celebrate our birth because we have to share it with somebody else.”

What’s your biggest similarity and what’s your biggest difference?

Jack: “Biggest similarity, hmm. We both enjoy sports, that’s probably our biggest similarity.”

Emme: “Our biggest difference is probably our academics. And then, our personalities are pretty different. We kind of swapped personalities, so they’re similar in a way but not really.”

Jack: “We both enjoy a good laugh.”

Emme: “Sure, we both like to have fun. Oh, and he’s a little more cautious.”

Jack: “Ok, sure.”

Do you plan to stick together after high school, and possibly go to the same college?

Emme: “Academically I don’t think we’re looking at the same colleges, so probably not.”

Jack: “No, we have different choices. Me personally I like the midwest or northeast.”

Emme: “I prefer the south or north [or] east.”

Jack: “Say the west why don’t you.”

Do you have any funny twin moments or stories?

Jack: “We have webbed toes.”

Emme: “That’s not a story.”

Jack: “Well, it’s a fact. I’ve got a story though Emme almost drowned me. She swam above me and I couldn’t breathe.”

Emme: “Yep, that happened.”

Anything Else?

Jack: “It’s awesome having a twin, even though sometimes people don’t think it’s great, I love having a twin. She’s awesome.”

Emme: “Yeah same for you Jack, you’re pretty cool.”

Jack: “I know I am.”
