This Past Week:
Thursday 9/8: This past Thursday, there was a meeting in the auditorium for all those interested in joining Newton South’s Speech and Debate Team. The team, which competes most weekends during the year in a variety of events, is currently gearing up for their trip to Yale. If you’re interested in joining but missed the meeting, feel free to contact one of the speech captains: Lily Borak, Rhea Dudani, Aidan Bassett, and James Rao.
This Coming Week:
Monday 9/12: South Stage, Newton South’s theater department, will be holding an informational meeting in the auditorium during J-block. Students from all grades who are interested either in performing, building sets, making costumes, designing lights and sounds, or simply seeing what South Stage does are welcome to attend. There will also be information about this year’s freshman play.
Friday 9/16: Famous American singer, rapper, and previous coach on The Voice Usher is set to release his new album this Friday. Hard II Love is the eighth studio album for the multiple time-Grammy award winner.
